Green tea is an addiction

As a follow up to my post in January about green tea – I am still drinking it all the time. I have developed a preference for Arizona Green Tea, by far my favorite. Not too sweet, just right.

Reaching goals, one step at a time [Progress Report]

I am glad to announce that I have lost about a third of the weight I have wanted to lose! While it’s a long time coming, I finally started dedicating my diet and physical activity to reach my goal starting at the beginning of January. I am pleased with my results so far.

Green Tea freezes time

Recently, as in a few days ago, I have been trying to drink green tea. I had been avoiding it because it just seemed gross. I think I may have tasted it a long time ago, but I can’t really remember.

Answers to 6 of the most common Yahoo!Answers questions

Question: Where can I download [insert expensive program here] for free?

Answer:

Legally? NOWHERE. Unless you win some contest where they are giving it away! If you’re interested in illegally downloading software, do a quick search on Peer-to-Peer (P2P) sharing websites or software. Do not ask on a public forum, where the owner (Yahoo) has all your contact information!

Related stupid question: Where can I download music for free?

Question: What is a cool nickname for my MySpace profile? My real name is [insert real name here].

Answer:

First of all, nobody cares what your nickname is. Secondly, there is no such thing as a cool nickname for your MySpace profile. Thirdly, go erase whatever sweet layout you chose for your profile – chances are your friends don’t look at it anymore because the flashing bling GIFs you put there are giving them seizures.

Question: How do I access [insert social networking or video site here] from school or work?

Answer:

You don’t. They blocked those sites because they waste time, and you are supposed to be learning or working. It’s why you are at school or at work – shocking I know. If you were smart enough to access these sites and not be caught, you’d already have the internet savvy to know about proxies: how they work, and where to find new ones once the older ones are blocked.

Question: [Enter some bodily dysfunction]!! Help!?

Answer:

GET OFF YOUR COMPUTER. Are you having a life-threatening emergency? Call 911. Are you capable of driving to the emergency room? Go. Are you having some other problem? Go to Urgent Care or call your doctor. Too lazy? Do a Google search of the symptoms. Then call your doctor with your brilliant self-diagnosis.

Question: Answer this one! Please read!

Answer:

Ask your question in the question title, where you’re supposed to! No one wants to click your “Please read” to figure out if it’s something they can even answer! Idiot.

Question: How do you access someone’s [social networking site here] log-in information?

Answer:

Let me guess. You think your boyfriend is cheating on you. Your best friend has been acting strangely. Less likely, you’re a wannabe hacker who is trying to learn the ropes. No matter the case, you fail. Think about the logic here – you would be freaked out if everyone knew how to access other people’s log-in information. Why are you asking the general public how to hack? Again – if you had the skills to hack into someone’s profile, you would have the internet savvy to figure out where to look to find the answer. Hint: It’s not on Yahoo!Answers.

Sync your Google Calendar with your iPhone

As you know, I recently got an iPhone – which I have been loving.

I wanted a way to synchronize my iPhone calendar with my Google Calendar, and I found a way to do it!

Step One: NuevaSync

NuevaSync takes your Google Calendar and makes it available through Exchange – which is the easiest way to sync a calendar on the iPhone. It’s really easy to set up (just go to the website and follow the directions).

Once you have registered and activated your account, go to the dashboard. Change the “Calendar” option and update it with your Gmail information. This can all be done from your phone or the computer.

Step Two: iPhone

Go to your Settings and enter the “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” section.

  1. Click “Add Account”
  2. Choose “Microsoft Exchange”
  3. Under “Email”, enter the Gmail account you registered on NuevaSync.
  4. The username is your NuevaSync username.
  5. The password your NuevaSync password.
  6. Description can be left blank, I called it “Calendar Sync”
  7. Click “Next”.
  8. After it loads, there will be a field called “Server”. Enter “www.nuevasync.com” as the value.
  9. Click “Next”.
  10. On the next page, turn off “Mail” and “Contacts”.
  11. Click “Save”

Ta-da!

The coolest part about it is that when you update Google Calendars, it immediately updates your phone. When you update the Calendar on your phone, it immediately updates Google Calendars.

I didn’t come up with this myself, you can view the original instructions I found here.
