Presidential debates are frustrating to watch

Personally, I hate keeping up with politics. There’s too many things said that people don’t mean, too many underhanded statements, and too many people trying to get ahead.

Regardless, because I am a registered voter, I decided to watch [part of] the last Presidential debate. Needless to say… I couldn’t even watch more than 10 minutes without getting fed up.

Neither of the candidates can answer a straight question!

All I know is that from a brief look at their records, and listening to their ideas, I just don’t agree with Obama on very many things at all. While I don’t totally agree with McCain either, most of his ideas are closer to what I’d be looking for in a President. (Can you guess who I’m voting for?)

Regardless of who wins, I am very down-hearted for our future over the next four years.

IDPUG: I Do Photoshop User Group (San Diego)

I’m glad to announce that I am getting together a Photoshop User Group based in San Diego, CA.

The goal is to make new friends, and help each other out with tips, tricks and more in using Adobe’s Photoshop, and perhaps even expand to GIMP (the free alternative).

I have created a Facebook usergroup – facebook.idophotoshop.com

We’re going to have our first meeting on October 25th, at 6pm – which is a Saturday evening. You can RSVP on Facebook here.

Thanks for your interest!

Did you ever learn to talk like a pirate?

I wasn’t aware until I came into work this morning that it was “Talk Like a Pirate” day. Seeing as how this is the first year working full time in the geek industry, this makes sense to me.

I’m not sure that I’ve quite bought into it yet, although I have had a few halloween costume inspirations…

At any rate here’s a link to more information on how to talk like a pirate.

Good day to ye.
